RESEARCH SUMMARY

We are interested in dynamics and patterns of evolutionary processes and looking for the stories hidden in ancient DNA sequences. We use both ancient and modern genome sequences of humans as well as some animals to reconstruct the past population history using population genetics approaches. We are also interested in method development for working with time-series genetic data. Our recent research is mostly focused on understanding the evolutionary processes shaping the genetic variation behind complex traits and human diseases.
